Soutenir les étudiants ayant une surdité : la perspective des intervenantes

Les adolescents ayant une surdité bénéficient rarement d’un suivi en orthophonie au-delà des premières années du primaire. De plus, peu d’études scientifiques sont disponibles à propos de la réussite sociale et scolaire des adolescents ayant une surdité. Pourtant, la période de l’adolescence peut s’avérer particulièrement difficile pour ces élèves : les relations avec les pairs se complexifient et les attentes sur le plan scolaire augmentent. Suite à sa première étude réalisée dans le cadre de son doctorat, Maude Gagnon présente les résultats de celle-ci, obtenus après avoir réalisé des groupes de discussion avec des intervenantes spécialisées en surdité.
